Creating a multi-channel social media platform designed to motivate students toward careers in high-tech industries.

Showcasing the best in Advanced Technological Education from community colleges and across the country, this weekly online video and social network features a new episode every Monday and serves networking capabilities that connect students and educators with prospective employers in technical fields. ATETV is funded in part by the National Science Foundation (NSF). The initiative is produced by The Association for Interactive Media Education (AIME), a national non-profit dedicated to the purpose of helping other 501(c)(3) education and non-profit groups utilize technology for teaching.
OFC created the brand identity, the website and blog that served as the centerpiece for this new online video channel. We also provided design, development and strategic content consultation that brought the initiative to multiple social media outlets including YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and iTunes.
ATETV recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
October 23, 2009 – In a crowded room, filled with close to 800 national leaders in the fields of technician education, AIME is publicly recognized by the current Under Secretary of Education, Martha Kanter for our recent work on www.atetv.org (our featured project). Having witnessed the ATETV videos on the main screens of a national conference, Ms. Kanter begins her speech by calling our work, “an example of the innovative thinking of the people in the room.” She goes on to elaborate by saying that “close to 30% of all high school students never make it to graduation because they don’t see any options for themselves and their futures. To reach them, you have to make an effort to speak their language.” This is exactly what AIME set out to do with this project! ATETV started with input from students and their experience and then was built to present information about science and technology career pathways according to that reality.
